Nexgen Kenya: Supporting Kariobangi Outreach Children’s Home

Kariobangi Outreach Children’s Home, located in Nairobi, Kenya, serves as a haven for orphans and vulnerable children under the care of Mathare Community Outreach (KEN01b). Established in 1997 to support those affected by HIV/AIDS, the home initially housed six children and has since expanded to accommodate around 30 children aged 5 to 18. The facility, providing shelter, education, clothing, and nourishment, aims to nurture the well-being of these youngsters who have faced challenging circumstances.

Managed by Mathare Community Outreach (KEN01b), the home has successfully assisted over 1,000 children since its inception in 1997. With a focus on providing not just material support but also counseling services to aid the children in overcoming the challenges posed by the loss of their parents, the home plays a crucial role in their journey towards leading normal lives.

Grateful for donations such as those from Nexgen, the home ensures that the children receive essential resources like food and access to education. The strong bond among the children is evident as they care for each other, forming a genuine sense of family within the home. The hope is that through increased awareness, more people will come forward to support and make a positive impact on the lives of these deserving children.
