About the Role

This is a technical and customer facing role focused on business requirements gathering, data integration development and customer data support. This role reports into the global Field Implementation team and directly to the Data Services Director. This person’s contributions will directly impact the success of Nexgen’s customer onboarding and data analytics services. A strong candidate will be expected to assess business requirements, provide solutions to data challenges, and be organized when building documentation (and disciplined in keeping it up to date). This role uses our Tableau software to collect, process, analyze, and visualize data from various sources. You will help guide Nexgen’s customers as well as the internal organization make better business decisions by providing insights and recommendations based on data.

 

Responsibilities

Lead customer data onboarding projects through the development lifecycle:

  • Discovery – Gather and analyze customer data requirements and business rules to determine development requirements for integrating customer data to Nexgen’s online Order Management System used by Garment factories across the globe. This includes, but is not limited to, leading discovery sessions with customers, reviewing technical specifications, analyzing sample data, creating workflow diagrams and variable data mapping images
  • Define – Work directly with key customers and business partners to create business cases that will be the foundation for new system integrations
  • Documentation – Write and maintain business requirements documentation that will be utilized by the global on-boarding team to launch and provide support to key customers
  • Testing – Develop and execute QAT and UAT test plans to ensure the business process has been developed as defined
  • Deployment – Deploy completed developments in coordination with all internal and external teams, on time
  • Support – Provide support to existing customers and internal cross-functional teams as needed

 

Lead the design and development of Analytics and Business Intelligence initiatives

  • Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions
  • Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
  • Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new systems
  • Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues
  • Creating tools to store data within the organization

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT/MIS, or 4+ years of experience in a related data field
  • Ability to work at a detailed level while also maintaining focus on an overall project
  • Knowledge of key concepts of SQL databases, relational database modeling and data integration patterns
  • Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Desire to engage with end customers and users
  • Ability to understand, document and communicate key business processes
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Ability to work as part of a global team
  • Strong project planning/coordination capabilities
